Introduction

Welcome to our guide on getting started with Wordsmith! If you're looking to harness the power of generative AI while maintaining full control over your content's structure and narrative, Wordsmith is the perfect tool for you. As an integral part of the NicheIQ Tool Suite, Wordsmith empowers you to create high-quality articles by providing outlines, setting tones, targeting audiences, and incorporating essential keywords. This step-by-step guide will walk you through accessing Wordsmith, creating and refining your article outline, generating content, and finally, exporting and publishing your finished piece. Let's dive in and explore how Wordsmith can elevate your content creation process.

Steps

  1. Access Wordsmith: Begin by clicking on the NicheIQ button from your Ezoic dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Wordsmith: In the NicheIQ dashboard, click on “Wordsmith” located in the left-hand menu.
  3. Create a New Document: Once you’re in the Wordsmith dashboard, click on “New Document.”
  4. Set Up Your Outline: To create a new article, you'll need to set up an article outline. You can either create the outline separately and paste it into Wordsmith or create it directly within the platform.
    • Denoting Headings: Use “##” at the start of the heading to denote it in your outline.
    • Add Instructions: Text immediately beneath each heading should provide instructions for Wordsmith as it generates content. Text in this section can also be included directly in the article. This is useful if you want the text to include something specific, or if you have parts of the article already written.
  5. Fetch Step:
    • Input Your Outline: Set a title for your article, then input the outline. You can copy and paste or type directly into the text box.
    • Continue: Once your outline is complete, click “Continue.”
  6. Fluff Step:
    • Specify Tone and Audience: Expand Document Properties and specify the type of article, the author's tone, and the target audience.
    • Add Keywords: Expand the Document-wide Keywords section and provide any keywords you are targeting for SEO. Add keywords separated by commas.
    • Review and Edit Sections: Expand Document Sections to review sections parsed from the outline. Click the “Edit” button next to the section you want to update. Here, you can edit headings and content text, specify content length, and provide further guidance.
  7. Expand Content:
    • Generate Text: Once you’ve specified everything you want to include, click on “Expand Content” to generate the article section based on the parameters you set.
    • Proofread and Edit: Proofread the generated text and make any necessary edits. Use the Undo and Redo buttons if needed.
    • Proceed to Next Sections: Once satisfied with the section, click the “Next Section” button to repeat the process for each section.
  8. Reorder Sections: You can reorder the sections by drag-and-dropping them as needed.
  9. Finish Step:
    • Review Article Statistics: View statistics about the generated article, such as character and word count.
    • Final Review: To review the entire generated article, click on “Final Document.” If further changes are needed, click the Back arrow to return to the sections page and make edits.
    • Export Document: Once you're ready to upload the final article, click on “Export Document” to bring up the article in HTML format.
  10. Publish the Article:
    • Copy HTML: Copy the HTML text.
    • CMS Upload: Log in to your CMS (e.g., Wordpress), navigate to “Posts,” and click “Add New.” Paste the HTML into your new post.
    • Final Review: Set a title for the post and review the article to ensure everything is correct. Add any relevant images and videos for visual interest.
    • Preview and Publish: Preview the article on your site, then publish it.
  11. Track Performance:
    • Set URL in Wordsmith: Once the article is published, set the URL in Wordsmith to track its performance.
    • Monitor ROI: Wordsmith will display the article as PUBLISHED and allow you to track its performance, including pageviews, revenue, EPMV, and weekly pageview trends for the past 12 weeks.
