Recommended: Cloud Integration

The recommended and most popular way of accessing Ezoic’s technology is through the Cloud Integration. Depending on how your site is currently set up, you'll do this by connecting your Cloudflare account or by updating your name servers.

Cloud Integration is fast, secure and provides the best revenue, user experience and site speed performance. Your site is automatically connected to Ezoic’s robust CDN network, which caches your site around the world to make it readily available and accessible for all. Ezoic’s Cloud Integration also provides security & protection, SSL and privacy features.

Cloud Integration: Connecting via Name Servers

The most popular way of completing the Cloud Integration is to connect via your site's name servers.  This allows Ezoic to act as a proxy and serve the optimized version of your site to your users.  This results in improved speed, optimal performance, and the best UX.

To complete the integration, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your Ezoic account and click on 'Integrate Your Site'
  2. Select the Cloud Integration option
  3. You will see a simple table with your current name servers on the left and the custom Ezoic name servers we've generated for your site on the right.  Update your site's name servers to the Ezoic ones at your registrar or host (wherever they are managed)

Changing name servers allows Ezoic to act like a proxy.  It does not impact your host or interfere with how you update your site normally.

Videos of how to update name servers at the most common registrars can be found here

Cloud Integration: Connecting via Cloudflare

Ezoic is a Certified CloudFlare partner. If you already use CloudFlare as a CDN, Ezoic integration is as easy as it gets.

When you create an account, Ezoic will detect if the site is using the CloudFlare CDN. From there, you will be prompted to enter your CloudFlare credentials which will give Ezoic temporary access to the CloudFlare DNS and point your site to Ezoic. When completed, you will see the green flag in the top left of the CloudFlare option that says "Integrated".

If CloudFlare still requires you to log in to integrate, there will simply be a black flag in the top right corner that says "recommended". Then, simply click the green button that says, "activate via own account". Click the button, and log in to your account.

NOTE: If you intend to integrate via CloudFlare, you should never click the black button that says "Remove CloudFlare integration" unless advised by a member of Ezoic staff.

Upon completion, click on "integration complete" if you're just getting started.

If you don't see the green checkmark after integration, click the green text shown at the end of the instructions for details. In many cases, integration simply takes a little while to propagate across the web. You can assume integration is complete and continue Ezoic configuration.

Publishers can also integrate easily using the Ezoic WordPress plugin. It allows publishers to integrate via WordPress without disrupting any aspect of their website.

It is slower than cloud integration, so we do recommend that you take advantage of one of the above methods if possible, however we also advise that you install and activate Ezoic's WordPress plugin before / after doing so - this will allow you to take advantage of the plugin's CDN management settings, and optimizations for Leap, without affecting your website speed!

NOTE: WP plugin integration will require an additional step if you have an existing ads.txt file.

Conclusion

All methods of integration are easy to reset; meaning you can revert to pre-Ezoic settings with a simple click.
