In this guide we’ll explain what each of the different Humix monetization opportunities mean and how to enable those on your site to enhance your Humix performance.
In some cases enabling the Humix monetization opportunities is easy and requires the click of a single button! When that isn’t possible, the Humix dashboard will guide you on how to change your settings and implement the monetization opportunity.
The dashboard may also show why there is a monetization opportunity within your current settings. For example, if Humix is disabled on pages you can view which pages Humix is disabled on before choosing to reenable Humix on those URLs.
If you’re comfortable with your current settings you can also choose to ignore the opportunity. Once you have done so, the opportunity will be moved to the ‘ignored opportunities’ tab. This allows you to revisit the opportunity at a later date, should you change your mind.
Enable Humix on all URLs
Enabling the opportunity allows Humix videos to show across your entire site and will remove any previous rules which disabled Humix on certain pages. Allowing Humix videos to show site wide contributes to revenue performance as more pageviews will have ad impressions.
Create videos with Flickify
This opportunity will take you to Flickify, where you can create high quality AI video content for your site under a subscription service. Creating Flickify videos helps with revenue as you can seamlessly create high-quality videos for your site.
Optimize settings to maximize revenue
This setting enables several Humix settings: auto insert, auto-start and floating videos. Humix works best when each of these is enabled as each setting contributes to better revenue performance.
Enable outstream on all devices
Outsream videos allow a video player to float on your website containing video advertisements. Turning on this setting can improve revenue as outstream players will show video ads without the need for user interaction with your videos.
Add SEO data
This opportunity highlights which of the videos in your studio are missing titles, descriptions, categories and keywords. Adding SEO data for each of your videos ensures your video content has improved chances of being shared on the Humix network, improving your revenue. You should add a title, description, categories and keywords for each video for optimal performance.
URLs with missing titles, descriptions or languages
URLs with missing meta-data such as titles, languages and descriptions will be highlighted under this opportunity. Adding metadata for all of your URLs ensures that the Humix videos which show on your site are tightly related to your content.
Link your Humix Channel URL to your site navigation or footer
We recommend adding a link to the Humix Channel URL on your site for improved SEO benefits.
Move video position
Enabling this setting will adjust the Humix insertion viewports higher up on your page for each device type as users interacting with videos earlier can enhance revenue.
Ads.txt setup
If you’ve added a site to Humix, we may invite you to set up an ads.txt file. If that is the case we recommend setting up an ads.txt file. The file allows you to earn revenue from the Humix videos shown on your website, therefore contributing to revenue enhancement.
MCM setup
If you add a site to Humix we may also invite you to sign up to Google Ad Manager. If invited, we recommend completing the Ad Manager setup so you can access high paying Google ads on your website.
Do I need to enable each of the opportunities?
No, you’re not required to enable any of the opportunities, though we recommend enabling all to remove roadblocks to revenue optimization.
If I ignore an opportunity can I enable it at a later date?
Yes, your ignored opportunities will be moved to the ignored section, where you can then choose to restore the opportunity or enable it.
What happens if I click optimize/enable?
Humix will automatically disable any settings which are preventing your revenue from being optimized.
Can I view which of my settings are hurting revenue before enabling the monetization opportunity?
For some monetization opportunities (e.g. Humix disabled on URLs, videos with missing SEO data) we’ll highlight which settings, URLs or videos are hurting your revenue.
