This guide will explain how to select and edit your Humix channel information, branding and channel layout from within your Humix dashboard. 

How to customize your Channel Information:

First, head to your Humix account and make sure you’re in the ‘My Channels’ Section, before navigating to the Channel Details tab. 

Editing Basic Info: 

1. Channel Logo 

• Either click on the image itself, or click edit logo, to select a new channel logo. Once you’ve chosen a new logo, you can adjust the focus area for the logo using your cursor. When you’re happy with the image hit save, or if you’d prefer to continue with your existing logo, or select another image, hit cancel. 
  

2. Channel Name

• Change your channel name so it better matches the content on your channel. Make sure that the name matches your brand or content as much as possible, to ensure content is discoverable via Humix search. 

3. Channel Description

• Add, or edit your channel description so Humix users know what kind of content to find on your channel.

4. Add Links

• Add links to any website (we recommend your own) from your Humix channel to improve engagement with your other content and websites. 
  
  

Note: when editing your channel information you can preview the changes at any time before hitting save and activating the new information. 

Editing Branding: 

1. Banner Image 

• Either click on the image itself, or click edit banner image, to select a new image. Once you’ve chosen a new banner, you can adjust the focus area for the banner using your cursor. When you’re happy with the image hit save, or if you’d prefer to continue with your existing banner, or select another image, hit cancel. 
  
  

2. Navigation Bar 

• Hover over the existing navigation bar color to select a new banner color, use the sliding scale at the bottom to choose between different colors, then select the appropriate gradient. You can also simply enter the html color code in the navigation bar color box. 

3. Humix Logo Color

• Change the color of the Humix logo which will display on your Humix channel. Choose between light and dark mode.

4. Navigation Bar Logo 

• Add a navigation bar logo to appear at the top of your channel. Note the Image aspect ratio must be between 1:1 and 1:4. Click on the current logo (if applicable) to select a new image. 

5. Back to Site Button

• If you have a website linked to your Humix account, you can add a link back to your website from your Humix channel, and also change the color of the button if you wish to do so. 
  
  

Note: Changes to the navigation bar color, Humix logo color, navigation bar logo and back to site button can be previewed before set to live.

Editing Channel Layout:

1. Customize your channel layout, allowing you to pick the order in which your content shows. Use a cursor to drag the options up and down, and hit save when you are happy with the selection. 
   
   

Editing Hosting: 

1. Change the URL structure of your Humix channel, selecting from a simple link (humix.com/yourchannel), a Humix subdomain (yourchannel.humix.com), or a subdomain on your own website (customsubdomain.yourdomain). 
   
   

1. Make sure that your channel info and branding match as much as possible to ensure a consistent brand image. 

2. Choose a channel logo, banner and description which matches your video content so users know what kind of content they can find on your channel.

3. Preview settings before setting live to assure you are happy with the changes.

1. My Navigation Bar Logo will not upload

• The Image aspect ratio must be between 1:1 and 1:4

2. My Channel Name is already in use

• Unfortunately channel names can only be used once, so if your preferred name is already in use you will have to select an alternative. 

3. My images look blurry after uploading

• Ensure the image file is of a high resolution, if the image continues to be blurry select another image.
