Introduction

Open.Video simplifies managing your subscriber base, allowing you to seamlessly import existing email subscriber lists and export new subscribers who follow you on the platform. Any emails that are in your Open.Video subscriber list will receive email updates when you upload a new video to your channel. This guide will take you through these processes step-by-step.

Instructions

Importing Subscribers

To import your existing subscriber list to open.video, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access Your Audience Dashboard: Navigate to the "Audience" section in your open.video dashboard. This is where you'll manage all subscriber-related activities.

Step 2: Upload Your Subscriber File: Click the "Upload Subscribers" button to begin the import process.

Step 3: Select Your File: Choose the file containing your subscriber list from your device. open.video supports multiple file formats to ensure compatibility with your existing data.

Step 4: Configure File Settings: Your file must be in one of the following formats: CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or Excel (.xls). When uploading, specify the header name of the column containing email addresses in the "Email Column Header" box to ensure open.video correctly identifies and imports the email addresses.

Exporting Subscribers

To download your current subscriber list from open.video:

Step 1: Navigate to Audience: Go to the "Audience" section in your dashboard.

Step 2: Export Your Data: Click the "Export" button to begin the download process.

Step 3: Choose Your Format: Select your preferred file format - either CSV or Excel - depending on how you plan to use the exported data.

Additional Features

Open.Video provides several features to help you better manage and organize your subscriber data:

Custom Tags: Add custom tags to your subscribers to create organized segments. This feature allows you to categorize subscribers based on interests, engagement levels, or any other criteria that matter to your content strategy.

Advanced Filtering Options: Use the built-in filtering system to refine your subscriber data view. You can filter subscribers by:

  • Date range (when they subscribed)

  • Subscription status

  • Upload activity

  • Custom tags you've assigned

These filtering options make it easy to analyze specific segments of your audience and export targeted subscriber lists for marketing campaigns or content personalization.

Tips for Success

When preparing your subscriber files for upload, ensure your email column has a clear, consistent header name that you can easily identify during the import process. This will streamline the upload and reduce the chance of import errors.

The export feature is particularly useful for backing up your subscriber data, creating targeted email lists for external marketing tools, or analyzing subscriber growth over specific time periods using the date range filters.
