Introduction

At Ezoic, we take pride in the success of our publishers and aim to celebrate their achievements through various certifications. These certifications not only recognize their hard work but also allow them to showcase their successes to their website audience. This article will guide you through the process of displaying Ezoic Certifications on your site using the Ezoic Chrome Extension. Follow these step-by-step instructions to seamlessly implement and display your certifications, enhancing your site’s credibility and appeal.

Steps

How to Implement Certifications using the Chrome Extension

You can display your Ezoic Certifications using the Ezoic Chrome Extension tool. If you do not already have the Ezoic Chrome extension installed, you can install it here.

Once installed, click the extension in the top right corner of your Chrome Browser to open it, then navigate to the Create tab:

Click the drop down that says “Automatically Detect” under Placeholder Size, and scroll down to the bottom section of the drop down tab:

Once you’ve selected “Certification”, you can activate the extension by clicking “Select Location”.

From there, you can proceed to insert a placeholder wherever you would like to display your Ezoic Certifications on the page. If the extension is activated, you’ll be able to hover over where you would like the placeholder inserted on the page. We recommend choosing a spot on the page that is consistent across your site. For example, inserting the placeholder within the bottom footer or top header will help with formatting consistency.

Once you’ve selected your location, click “Insert here.”

This will open a styling modal, where you can proceed to choose the positioning and sizing of your certifications.

You can preview different sizes for the certifications within the modal, and you can make adjustments at any time. Once you’ve ready to insert the certification placeholder on your site, select Save Placeholder. If saved successfully, a colored box will appear in your selected location.

Once you deactivate the chrome extension and reload the page, your certification should appear.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and their solutions when implementing Ezoic Certifications using the Chrome Extension:

  1. Extension Not Appearing in the Browser
    • Issue: The Ezoic Chrome Extension is not visible in the top right corner of the browser.
    • Solution: Ensure that the extension is properly installed. Go to the Chrome Web Store and install the Ezoic Chrome Extension. If it is already installed, check to see if it is enabled by navigating to chrome://extensions/ and toggling it on.
  2. Unable to Select Placeholder Location
    • Issue: The "Select Location" option is not responding or not allowing you to choose a location for the placeholder.
    • Solution: Make sure the extension is activated. If the issue persists, try refreshing the page or restarting your browser. Ensure that your browser is up-to-date, as outdated versions can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
  3. Placeholder Not Displaying After Insertion
    • Issue: After inserting the placeholder and saving, the certification is not appearing on the page.
    • Solution: Deactivate the Chrome Extension and reload the page. If the certification still does not appear, double-check that the placeholder was saved correctly. You can also revisit the styling modal to confirm the positioning and sizing settings.
  4. Styling or Sizing Issues
    • Issue: The certification appears on the page but the size or positioning is incorrect.
    • Solution: Reopen the styling modal via the Chrome Extension, and adjust the positioning and size settings until the certification displays correctly. Use the preview option within the modal to ensure it looks as desired before saving the placeholder again.
  5. Certification Not Consistent Across the Site
    • Issue: The certification only appears on one page or is not consistent across the website.
    • Solution: Ensure that the placeholder is inserted in a consistent location across the website, such as the bottom footer or top header. This helps maintain uniformity and ensures the certification appears on all desired pages.

If these solutions do not resolve your issue, it may be beneficial to reinstall the Ezoic Chrome Extension or contact Ezoic support for further assistance.
