Introduction

Welcome to our step-by-step guide on how to change your name servers at ENOM. If you're an Ezoic publisher looking to update your DNS settings, this article will walk you through the necessary steps to seamlessly integrate your custom name servers. By the end of this guide, you'll be able to confidently modify your DNS server settings to use the custom name servers provided by Ezoic, ensuring smooth operation and enhanced performance for your website. Let's get started!

Steps

1. Before you do anything else, please check that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS records matches those at your host as per the instructions here.

2. From within your Enom account, click on "Domains" and then "My Domains" within the resulting drop-down menu.

3. Click the domain name text, not the checkbox next to it.

4. Select DNS server settings (on the left hand side), or choose DNS server settings from the Manage domain dropdown (right hand side).

5. In the "DNS Server Settings" area, choose the "Custom" option.

6. Enter the custom name servers provided in your Ezoic Dashboard. You can find these under Settings > Connection > Nameservers > View Instructions.

Please allow up to 48 hours for all changes to take full effect.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the process of modifying your domain name's name servers, please consider the following common problems and their solutions:

  1. Name Server Changes Not Propagating:
    • Issue: After changing your name servers at ENOM, it might seem like the changes are not taking effect.
    • Solution: Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for the integration to fully propagate. If it has been over 24 hours, double-check that you have entered the Ezoic name servers correctly. Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces. You can also use online DNS propagation check tools to see if the changes are being reflected globally.
  2. Site Not Working After Integration
    • Issue: Your site is down or not functioning correctly after completing the name server changes.
    • Solution: If the error is consistent, verify that the name servers are correctly entered and that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS record matches those at ENOM. If the error is intermittent, consider the solutions listed here.
