Steps

  1. Before you do anything else, please check that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS records matches those at your host as per the instructions here.
  2. Log in to your OVH Control Panel.

  3. Click 'Domains' in the services bar on the left-hand side and choose the domain name concerned.

  4. Go to the 'DNS Servers' tab.

  5. You will see a table listing the DNS servers currently set with OVH for your domain name. Each DNS server will have its own row in the table.

  6. To start editing your DNS servers, click the 'Modify DNS servers' button.

  7. In the text fields, enter the custom nameservers generated for you by Ezoic. These custom nameservers can be found under 'Settings' > 'Site Integration' > 'Name Servers' > 'View Instructions' in your Ezoic Dashboard.

  8. Once you have entered the custom nameservers, click 'Apply configuration'.

  9. The statuses for the DNS servers will update in the table, showing the new information you have provided.

  10. After making the required changes, wait for them to become fully effective. This change may take up to 48 hours to propagate across all servers. You can track the progress in your OVH Control Panel by going to the 'Domains' section in the services bar on the left-hand side, then 'Ongoing operations'.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the process of modifying your domain name's name servers, please consider the following common problems and their solutions:

  1. Name Server Changes Not Propagating:
    • Issue: After changing your name servers at OVH, it might seem like the changes are not taking effect.
    • Solution: Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for the integration to fully propagate. If it has been over 24 hours, double-check that you have entered the Ezoic name servers correctly. Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces. You can also use online DNS propagation check tools to see if the changes are being reflected globally.
  2. Site Not Working After Integration
    • Issue: Your site is down or not functioning correctly after completing the name server changes.
    • Solution: If the error is consistent, verify that the name servers are correctly entered and that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS record matches those at OVH. If the error is intermittent, consider the solutions listed here.
