Introduction

Are you ready to optimize your website with Ezoic by changing your name servers at Webgo? This article will guide you through the step-by-step process of updating your name servers to those provided by Ezoic. Changing name servers is a crucial step that ensures Ezoic can effectively manage your site’s DNS settings, leading to better performance and revenue optimization. Follow along to seamlessly update your name servers and ensure your changes take effect without any hiccups. Let’s get started!

Steps

  1. Before you do anything else, please check that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS records matches those at your host as per the instructions here.
  2. Log in to your Webgo user account. You can find the login option at the top right of the Webgo website.

  3. Go to the domain overview tab.

  4. Click on the wrench icon to access the Name Server settings.

  5. Paste the Name Servers provided by Ezoic into the four fields ('Settings' > 'Name Servers' > 'View Instructions' in the Ezoic Dashboard) and click the "Change Name Servers" button to save the changes.

Note: Name server changes are often not applied immediately. Once you have changed your name servers, it can take up to 24 hours (longer in rare cases) for these changes to be updated.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the process of modifying your domain name's name servers, please consider the following common problems and their solutions:

  1. Name Server Changes Not Propagating:
    • Issue: After changing your name servers at Webgo, it might seem like the changes are not taking effect.
    • Solution: Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for the integration to fully propagate. If it has been over 24 hours, double-check that you have entered the Ezoic name servers correctly. Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces. You can also use online DNS propagation check tools to see if the changes are being reflected globally.
  2. Site Not Working After Integration
    • Issue: Your site is down or not functioning correctly after completing the name server changes.
    • Solution: If the error is consistent, verify that the name servers are correctly entered and that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS record matches those at Webgo. If the error is intermittent, consider the solutions listed here.
