Whether you are testing layouts and ad positions at the same time, or ad positions alone - it takes time to test all possible combinations and find the top performers. For example, by creating our suggested minimum of 15 ad units, over one million possible combinations can be tested!
That’s a lot of possibilities, which require time to test. Therefore, it takes some commitment and patience before being rewarded with the expected 50% boost in ad income. So don’t fret if you aren’t receiving instant gratification.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the time it takes to see results is entirely dependent on your website’s traffic and the number of positions and sizes that you try. Larger sites could see significant revenue gains in as short as a few weeks while smaller sites could be several months.
