Ezoic Video Auto-Insert is on by default. If you head to Playert Settings > click the cog icon > you can adjust the location of the video player on your site.  However, we recommend leaving the settings as they are, which are preconfigured to maximise revenue. 

To customize settings and view your Auto-Insert locations, follow these steps:

1. Install the Ezoic Chrome Extension.
2. Visit your website or the specific page where you wish to manage auto-insert locations.
3. Activate the Ezoic Chrome Extension and select “Humix”. A sidebar will appear on the left, presenting various interaction options.
   
   
   Within the Sidebar, you have three main options:

• Preview AI (Auto Insert) Locations: View the available AI locations and see your active location where videos will serve.
• Auto Insert (AI) Options:
  • Video Source: Determine the origin of your video content.
    • My videos
    • 3rd party videos (from the Humix network)
    • Both: My videos and 3rd party videos
      
  • Matching: Videos can be matched based on your page topic or by specified categories:
    • Page Topic: Auto-selects this by analyzing the meta description and video description to find the best match.
    • Page Category: Choose up to three categories. If you opt to choose categories, you’ll be prompted to select video categories.
      
  • Page Exclusion Settings: Disable AI placeholders by specific pages or directories.
    
• Preview Page Matches: See the videos that selected as a match for your page.
  

To change to an alternate Auto-Insert location:

After activating 'Preview AI Locations', you’ll have the option to switch to a different, pre-determined location. To do this, simply select 'Set as Preferred Location'. This location will be updated as your preferred Auto-Insert location across the site. Note that if a page isn’t long enough to include the selected location, the next available location on the page will serve a video instead.

Key Points:

• The default top placement is the most lucrative, as floating videos are most effective after the first paragraph. This "floating" feature ensures the video moves along with the user's scroll, offering an uninterrupted viewing experience.
• Default settings for locations are set to Autoplay and Float to maximize video performance. To change the video display position, use the 'Set as Preferred Location' button on the placeholder preview. This will apply the setting across the entire site. However, for optimal revenue, it's advised not to place the video too far down the page
• If the location set as the new preferred location is a “long content” placeholder, it may not apply to all pages because not all pages may have “long content”. If this scenario occurs, the preferred location for shorter pages will default to the next location that is the furthest down the page.

Additional Settings in Ezoic Video Dashboard:

Access more settings directly from your Ezoic Video dashboard by navigating to Ezoic Video > Player Settings. Here, you can delve into:

• Current page exclusion
• Device type controls
• Floating player settings
• Video Autostart and Loop preferences
• Ad Controls

Common Issues and Solutions:

1. Auto-Insert not working:
   • Solution: Ensure that Auto-Insert is enabled in the Ezoic Video Dashboard. Navigate to 'Player Settings' > click the cog icon > confirm Auto-Insert is enabled.
2. Auto-Insert locations not appearing:
   • Solution: Make sure the Ezoic Chrome Extension is activated and you've selected “Humix” in the sidebar. If locations still don't appear, revisit the specific page on your website where you wish to manage auto-insert locations and refresh.
3. Preferred Auto-Insert location not applying:
   • Solution: Verify that the page has sufficient content to accommodate the selected location. If a page isn't long enough, the next available location on the page will serve a video instead.
4. Video not playing or floating correctly:
   • Solution: Check the default settings for locations to ensure they are set to Autoplay and Float. You can change the video display position using the “set as preferred location” button on the placeholder preview in the Chrome Extension sidebar.
5. Incorrect videos being matched:
   • Solution: Review the Matching settings. Ensure that the videos are matched based on the correct Page Topic or Page Category. You can adjust these settings in the Extension sidebar.
6. Unwanted page exclusions:
   • Solution: Adjust the Page Exclusion Settings in the Ezoic Video Dashboard or within the Ezoic Chrome Extension's Humix sidebar. Disable AI placeholders by specific pages or directories as necessary.
