Welcome to the guide on using the Advertiser Blocker App within the Ezoic platform. This article is designed to help you understand how to block certain advertisers from displaying their ads on your site, whether to avoid unwanted content or to prevent competitor advertisements. We will walk you through the step-by-step process of setting up the Advertiser Blocker, ensuring you have full control over the ads that appear on your website. Steps

  1. Log into your Ezoic dashboard.

  2. Navigate to 'EzoicAds' > 'Ad Restrictions' > 'Advertisers Blocked'.

  3. Click the green pen icon.

 

     4. Enter the domain name of the advertisers you wish to block. Remember to enter the root domain only (e.g., ezoic.com). Note that entering formats like www.ezoic.com or https://ezoic.com will not work.

     5. Click 'Add Row' after each domain entry to add multiple advertisers.

     6.Click 'Save' to confirm the changes you've made.

Troubleshooting

In the unlikely case that you are still seeing ads from a blocked advertiser after following the steps, there are a couple of potential issues to consider:

  1. Mediation Partners: The rules added to the 'Advertiser Blocker' app do not apply to mediation partners. You will need to add blocking rules separately through your specific partners, such as AdSense.
  2. Exchange Bidding Partners: If the ads persist, they might be coming from Exchange Bidding partners. The 'Advertiser Blocker' app rules do not apply to these partners either. You can contact your Ezoic representative to discuss the option of turning off exchange bidding altogether. However, be aware that this could negatively impact your EPMV/revenue.
