Introduction

Changing your name servers is an essential step to ensure that your domain is properly integrated with Ezoic. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of updating your name servers at PublicDomainRegistry.com. By following these step-by-step instructions, you'll be able to seamlessly configure your domain to use Ezoic's custom name servers, allowing you to take full advantage of Ezoic's features and optimizations.

Steps

  1. Before you do anything else, please check that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS records matches those at your host as per the instructions here.
  2. Log in to your PublicDomainRegistry Control Panel.
  3. Search for the domain name and proceed to the Order Information view.
  4. Click the Name Servers link.
  5. Enter the custom name servers provided by Ezoic. These can be found under 'Settings' > 'Site Integration' > 'Name Servers' > 'View Instructions' in your Ezoic Dashboard.
  6. Select Update Name Servers to complete your updates.

Please allow up to 48 hours for all changes to take full effect.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the process of modifying your domain name's name servers, please consider the following common problems and their solutions:

  1. Name Server Changes Not Propagating:
    • Issue: After changing your name servers at Public Domain Registry it might seem like the changes are not taking effect.
    • Solution: Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours for the integration to fully propagate. If it has been over 24 hours, double-check that you have entered the Ezoic name servers correctly. Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces. You can also use online DNS propagation check tools to see if the changes are being reflected globally.
  2. Site Not Working After Integration
    • Issue: Your site is down or not functioning correctly after completing the name server changes.
    • Solution: If the error is consistent, verify that the name servers are correctly entered and that Ezoic's copy of your site's DNS record matches those at Public Domain Registry. If the error is intermittent, consider the solutions listed here.
