Ezoic Cloud Integration

Last Updated a month ago

Introduction

Welcome to the Ezoic Cloud Integration guide! If you're looking to enhance your website's performance, security, and user experience, cloud integration is the most efficient and effective method available. In this article, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of integrating your site with Ezoic via the cloud. You'll also learn about the benefits of cloud integration and how it works. Whether you're new to Ezoic or an existing user looking to optimize your site, this guide will provide all the information you need to get started with cloud integration and take your website to the next level.

Steps

1. Log into your Ezoic account and click on Integrate Your Site.

2. Select the Name Server Integration option

3. You will see a simple table with your current name servers on the left and the custom Ezoic name servers we’ve generated for your site on the right. At your registrar or host (wherever you manage the site's name servers), update the nameservers to the Ezoic ones.

It can take up to 24 hours for your Ezoic dashboard to register that the integration is complete. This is because of caching and propagation on the internet. In the meantime, you can continue with the set up process.

Troubleshooting

While integrating your site via the cloud is generally a smooth process, you may encounter some common issues. Below are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve these issues:

  1. Integration Not Registering:
    • Symptom: Your Ezoic dashboard does not show that integration is complete even after updating the name servers.
    • Solution: It can take up to 24 hours for the changes to propagate due to caching and propagation on the internet. If it’s been more than 24 hours and the issue persists, double-check your name server settings at your registrar/host to ensure they are correctly pointing to the custom Ezoic name servers.
  2. Site Downtime:
    • Symptom: Your site becomes inaccessible after changing the name servers.
    • Solution: Verify that the name servers were correctly updated. Make sure there are no typos or misconfigurations. You can also use online DNS propagation checkers to ensure the name server updates have propagated correctly.
  3. SSL Issues:
    • Symptom: Users receive SSL certificate errors after integration.
    • Solution: Ensure that SSL is enabled on your Ezoic dashboard. Double-check that your previous SSL settings do not conflict with Ezoic’s SSL configuration. You may need to reissue or reconfigure SSL certificates to resolve these issues.
  4. Performance Degradation:
    • Symptom: Noticeable decrease in site performance or speed after integration.
    • Solution: Ensure your site is properly cached by the Ezoic CDN network. You can check caching statistics in your Ezoic dashboard. Additionally, review any other performance settings or optimizations that were in place before the integration to ensure they are compatible with Ezoic’s technology.
  5. Domain Name System (DNS) Issues:
    • Symptom: DNS errors or misconfigurations.
    • Solution: Double-check your DNS settings and ensure that all DNS records are correctly pointing to the new name servers. If necessary, revert any recent changes and consult with your registrar/host for further assistance.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve most common issues encountered during cloud integration. If problems persist, you may want to reach out to Ezoic support for specialized assistance.

FAQs

1. What is Cloud Integration?

Cloud integration is the most popular and effective method of integration. It allows you to access Ezoic’s technology at the server level, which provides a fast and secure connection, and delivers the best overall performance.

2. What are the benefits of Cloud Integration?

Cloud Integration is fast, secure and provides the best revenue, user experience, and site speed performance. Your site is automatically connected to Ezoic’s robust CDN network, which caches your site around the world to make it readily available and accessible for all. Ezoic’s Cloud Integration also provides security & protection, SSL, and privacy features.

3. How does Cloud Integration work?

Cloud integration connects your site to Ezoic at the server level, which is fast, secure and provides optimal performance.

Let’s look at how the internet works:

  • You type “domain.com” into the address bar and hit enter
  • Your browser sends a request to that domain.com’s name servers
  • The name servers respond back with the IP address of the website’s server
  • Your browser requests the website content from that IP address
  • Your browser retrieves the content and renders it in your browser

When your site is integrated, the requests get routed through Ezoic’s technology. This allows Ezoic to make automated improvements to the site without changing the content, host, or registrar. When someone accesses a website, their web browser first has to find out which server to request the page from. This is achieved using the domain name system (DNS), which matches domain names (like ezoic.com) to IP addresses (like 204.120.0.15) so that the page can be provided by the appropriate server. In practice, the way this works is that this request will be made to a particular 'name server', which provides an IP address for the site.
