Introduction

This guide is designed to provide Ezoic publishers with a comprehensive understanding of how the payment system works. In this article, we will cover essential information on the payment process, the necessary steps to ensure you get paid on time, how to fill out your payment settings, and the expected timing for receiving payments. Additionally, we will address common FAQs related to Ezoic payments. By the end of this guide, you'll have a clear grasp of how to manage your payments effectively and ensure a smooth experience.

Overview

Ezoic payments operate on a net 30-day schedule, meaning payments are made in arrears within 30 days.

For example, you can expect to receive January's revenue at the end of February, with payments being issued between the 27th and 31st of the month.

To ensure timely payments, you need to:

  1. Generate at least $20 in total earnings
  2. Complete your tax information
  3. Choose your preferred payment method under the Payment Settings tab.

Supported payment methods include:

  • Check
  • Bank Transfer with Wise, subject to variable currency conversion fees
  • PayPal, with up to a 4% currency conversion fee for USD payments
  • Direct deposit via Payoneer for US residents
  • International Wire Transfer via Payoneer, with a 2% currency conversion fee for most currencies, reduced to 0.15% for automatic bank transfers to CAD, GBP, EUR, PKR, and CNY, and 0.50% for INR. A $15 fee applies for receiving funds in USD.
  • Payoneer Prepaid Card

Bank transfers to US banks are free of charge. You can set a payment threshold (minimum $20 USD), with changes needing to be submitted by the 15th of the month to apply to the current pay period. You should also ensure your Tax Information is filled out correctly to avoid processing delays.

Publisher payment timing varies by method:

  • Payoneer: Payments to a Payoneer account are typically received within 1 business day, while non-Payoneer bank accounts may take 1-3 business days.
  • PayPal: Payments are typically received within 3-5 business days.
  • Wise: US bank accounts receive payments within 2 - 4 business days, and non-US accounts within 5-6 business days.
  • Check: Checks are usually received within 3-8 business days after mailing.

Ezoic initiates payments on the 27th of each month unless it falls on a weekend or bank holiday, in which case it is done on the preceding non-holiday weekday. They payment schedule for 2024 is as follows:

Tips and Best Practices

To ensure timely and seamless Ezoic payments, adhere to the following best practices and tips:

  1. Meet the Minimum Earning Threshold: Make sure you generate at least $20 in total earnings. This is a prerequisite for the payment process to be initiated.
  2. Update Tax Information: Ensure that your tax information is correctly filled out in the system. Incomplete or incorrect tax details can delay the payment process.
  3. Select Your Preferred Payment Method: From the user dashboard, navigate to Billing & Payments > Payment Settings to choose your preferred payment method from options like Check, Bank Transfer with Wise, PayPal, Direct Deposit via Payoneer, International Wire Transfer via Payoneer, or Payoneer Prepaid Card.
  4. Submit Payment Changes on Time: Any changes to your payment settings should be submitted by the 15th of the month to ensure they take effect within the same pay period. Changes made after the 15th will apply to the following pay period.
  5. Avoid Payment Method Conflicts: If you encounter issues updating your payment method, particularly with Payoneer, handle this directly through your Payoneer account or contact their Support team.
  6. Invoice Access: Keep track of your monthly invoices for tax purposes by checking the Payment History tab in your payments dashboard.

By following these practices and tips, you can optimize your payment process and minimize delays.

FAQs

  • When should changes to payment settings be made?

Changes in form of payment must be submitted by the 15th of each month. Changes made after the 15th will be applied toward the next pay period.

  • I have selected to get paid via Bank transfer with Wise. What are the exact fees that I have to pay?

The fees with this payment method would be variable and each currency will have its own rate for a fee. Wise uses the "real" exchange market rate, which is the midpoint between the buy and sell rates on the global currency markets.

  • Do I need to have a Wise account in order to get paid via "Bank Transfer with Wise"?

No, you don't need a Wise account. You will only need to add your bank account details in which you prefer to receive your payments from Ezoic.

  • Why can't I change the Payoneer payment method?

Occasionally we see that publishers cannot update the payment method from US bank transfer via Payoneer to International Transfer via Payoneer from the payment settings page in the Ezoic dashboard. In this instance, you will need to configure this directly within your Payoneer account. Please open a support ticket with Payoneer if you are unsure how to do this.

  • How do I change the Payoneer account email associated with Ezoic?

You need to get in touch with Payoneer to "release" the old associated account. If Payoneer asks for your Ezoic Payee ID your Ezoic representative can provide you with this. You then need to go to your Ezoic account and add the new Payoneer account under Payment Settings.

  • How do I change the bank account associated with my Payoneer account?

This needs to be configured directly within your Payoneer account.

  • How do I set up a pre-paid card at Payoneer?

This is handled by Payoneer and you may need to open a support ticket with Payoneer.

  • Where can I find my monthly invoices for tax purposes?

These are in the Payment History tab of the payments dashboard.

  • What does the status "Paypal payment failed" mean?

If you ever see this payment status please contact PayPal to find out why they did not process the payment. Ezoic can then re-issue the payment if necessary.

  • When will my check arrive?

If you are located outside the US, check is not a recommended payment option as these are mailed and may take some time to arrive and Ezoic has no way to track this through the postal service. If you do not receive your check we can cancel the check on the Ezoic end and re-issue the payment via a different method.
