Introduction

Welcome to our guide on Header Bidding Mediation! In today's competitive digital advertising landscape, maximizing ad revenue is crucial for publishers. This article will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to effectively use header bidding with Ezoic to increase your ad yield. We will cover what header bidding is, how to integrate it with Ezoic, how to wrap existing header bidding tags, and understanding your mediation earnings. By the end of this guide, you'll have a clear understanding of how to optimize your ad inventory and boost your revenue through header bidding mediation. Let's get started!

Steps

1. 'Enable Mediation' under the EzoicAds > Ad Integration tab in your dashboard. Once the app is installed, navigate to the 'Header Bidding Mediation' section.

2. Link any existing header bidding partners by clicking the 'Add Network' button next to the relevant partner.

3. For each network, you'll need to add the revenue share percentage you've agreed separately with that header bidder partner.

Next, create the parameters within which the header bidding partner is allowed to bid. You can use the dropdowns to have the header bidding partner only bid on specific device types, ad positions / ad position types, and ad sizes. You'll also need to give your parameter a 'Placement ID'.

4. Once completed, click 'Save Changes'.

Troubleshooting

Some issues that users may encounter while using header bidding with Ezoic, and the common solutions, include:

  1. Conflict Between existing Header Bidding partners and Ezoic:
    • Problem: Users may find that their existing header bidding setup conflicts with Ezoic's testing.
    • Solution: Follow the instructions provided by Ezoic to wrap any existing header bidding tags, allowing us to convert these placements into Ezoic placeholders to be included for testing. This helps to mitigate any potential conflicts.
  2. Mediation Earnings Not Showing:
    • Problem: Users may not see their mediation earnings immediately after setting up header bidding with Ezoic.
    • Solution: Allow a few days for the new mediation partners to fully integrate and start reflecting earnings. Check the 'Mediation Ad Partners' section on your Ezoic dashboard to monitor your mediation earnings. Please be patient, as it can take some time.
  3. Incorrect Revenue Share or Bid Parameters:
    • Problem: Incorrectly entered revenue share percentages or bid parameters may affect the performance of header bidding.
    • Solution: Double-check and ensure that you have correctly entered the agreed revenue share percentages and all necessary bid parameters (such as ad size and tag ID) for each network under the 'Header Bidding Mediation' section.
  4. Unable to Link Existing Header Bidding Network:
    • Problem: Users might experience difficulties in linking their existing header bidding networks.
    • Solution: Ensure that you are clicking the 'add network' button and providing all required information accurately. If the problem persists, please log in and refer to the options available via support.ezoic.com for further assistance.
