Introduction

The Ezoic WordPress Plugin is designed to help you efficiently manage your Content Delivery Network (CDN) by automating the cache purging process whenever you update your posts or pages. This article will guide you through the step-by-step instructions for setting up the Ezoic WordPress Plugin to ensure your site always serves the most up-to-date content.

Steps

1. Download the Ezoic Plugin from the WordPress plugin directory.

2. Ensure you have installed the Ezoic Plugin within WordPress Admin and activate the plugin.

3. Get your Ezoic API Key from your dashboard:

    • Go to Settings > API.
    • Once the API Gateway App is installed, generate an API Key via the API Gateway App and copy the API Key.

4. Go to Settings (for the plugin) > CDN Settings. Enter the API key you copied from the API Gateway App in your Ezoic Dashboard.

5. Set both 'Automatic Recaching' and 'Purge Home' to 'Enabled'.

6. Click 'Save Settings'.

That's it! Now, any time you update a post, the plugin will ping the Ezoic CDN API to ensure the appropriate pages are purged from the CDN’s cache.

Troubleshooting

Issues users may encounter with the Ezoic plugin and their solutions are:

  1. Issue: API Key Not Working
    • Solution: Ensure that you have copied the correct API Key from the Ezoic Dashboard. Navigate to Settings > API to generate a new API Key if needed.
  2. Issue: Pages Not Being Automatically Purged From Cache
    • Solution: Ensure the plugin is installed and activated, and up to date. Confirm that the API key is correctly entered in the CDN Settings. Verify that both 'Automatic Recaching' and 'Purge Home' are enabled in the CDN Settings of the plugin.
  3. Issue: Custom Taxonomies Not Recaching
    • Solution: Automated recaching of custom taxonomies is currently not supported by the Ezoic Plugin. This is a known limitation, and users will have to manually purge these caches as needed.

By following these solutions, users should be able to resolve the most common issues encountered with the Ezoic plugin's automatic recaching feature.
