Introduction

Ensuring the security of your Ezoic account is crucial, and enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a highly effective way to add an extra layer of protection. This article will guide you through the steps to enable 2FA on your Ezoic account, enhancing your account's security by requiring an additional verification method alongside your password. By following the instructions provided, you will learn how to set up two-factor authentication using any compatible authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator. Let's get started on securing your account!

Steps

  1. Navigate to your 'Account Settings' in the Ezoic Dashboard.
  2. Locate and select the 'Two Factor Settings' option.
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. A QR code will appear on your screen.
  5. Open your preferred authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator) on your mobile device.
  6. Use the authenticator app to scan the QR code.
  7. Once scanned, retrieve the verification token from your authenticator app.
  8. Enter the verification token back on the Ezoic Dashboard.
  9. Confirm your password.
  10. Click 'Save' to complete the setup process.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues while enabling two-factor authentication for your Ezoic account, here are some common problems and their solutions:

  1. QR Code Not Scanning:
    • Solution: Ensure that your authenticator app's camera has permission to use your device's camera. Try cleaning your camera lens and ensuring the QR code is not obstructed or blurry. If the problem persists, try increasing the brightness of your screen or using a different authenticator app.
  2. Verification Token Not Working:
    • Solution: Double-check that the time on your device is synchronized correctly. Authenticator apps rely on accurate time settings to generate valid tokens. Adjust your device's time settings if necessary and try again.
  3. Forgot Password:
    • Solution: If you've forgotten your password and cannot enable two-factor authentication, use the 'Forgot Password' feature on the Ezoic login page to reset it. Once your password is reset, you can proceed with the two-factor authentication setup.
  4. Authenticator App Crashes or Malfunctions:
    • Solution: Make sure your authenticator app is up to date. If it continues to malfunction, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Be sure to back up any existing authentication codes before doing so.

If these solutions do not resolve your issue, please contact Ezoic support for further assistance.
