How Do I Turn Ezoic On & Off?

Last Updated over a month ago

Introduction

Welcome to this step-by-step guide on how to turn Ezoic on and off. Whether you need to pause testing or adjust how much of your traffic is handled by Ezoic, this guide will provide you with simple, clear instructions. You'll learn how to navigate through your Ezoic account, use the toggle button to manage Ezoic settings for various devices, and even adjust traffic distribution using a sliding scale.

Steps

  1. Log in to your Ezoic account and navigate to the "EzoicAds" tab.

  2. Click on "Optimization Goals"

  3. Under "Split Testing," use the toggle button to turn Ezoic on and off for various devices. When Ezoic is turned off, all users will be redirected to the old layout of the site. If AdSense was being used on the original site, all traffic will be redirected back to AdSense.
  4. To divert a portion of your traffic back to the original site, use the sliding scale to adjust the percentage of traffic going through Ezoic. Make sure to click "Save" once you've made the desired adjustments.

Note: Turning Ezoic on and off will only be effective when the site is live.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues while attempting to turn Ezoic on and off, consider the following solutions:

  1. Login Issues:
    • Problem: Unable to log in to your Ezoic account.
    • Solution: Double-check your username and password. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset it. Ensure that your internet connection is stable.
  2. Tab/Option Not Visible:
    • Problem: The "EzoicAds" tab or "Split testing" option is not visible.
    • Solution: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access these features. If you're part of a team, contact your account administrator to verify your access rights.
  3. Toggle Button Non-Functional:
    • Problem: The toggle button to turn Ezoic on and off is not working.
    • Solution: Refresh the page or log out and log back in. Clear your browser cache and cookies. Try accessing the page using a different browser or device.
  4. Changes Not Reflecting:
    • Problem: Changes made using the toggle button are not being applied.
    • Solution: Confirm that you have clicked 'Update Settings' after making changes. Wait a few minutes and check if the changes are applied. If the issue persists, contact Ezoic support.
  5. Traffic Diversion Issues:
    • Problem: Unable to properly divert traffic back to the original site using the sliding scale.
    • Solution: Ensure that the sliding scale is set to the desired percentage and that the 'Update Settings' button has been clicked. Refresh the page and verify the settings again.
