As of April 3, 2024, all new publishers using Google Ad Manager must verify their identity and address to monetize their ad inventory with Ezoic. This guide provides you with a step-by-step process to complete the verification, ensuring you can start displaying ads as quickly as possible. You'll learn how to verify your identity, receive and enter your PIN for address verification, and find answers to frequently asked questions. By following these instructions, you can smoothly navigate the verification process and get your monetization underway without delay.

Steps

  1. Identity Verification:
    • Sign in to your Google Ad Manager account.
    • Navigate to Payments > Verification Check.
    • Under Identity Verification, follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Verification takes some time. You will receive a confirmation email and a notification in your dashboard once it's completed.
  2. Address Verification:
    • After identity verification, a PIN will be mailed to the address you provided, which can take several weeks.
    • Once received, sign in and navigate to Payments > Verification Check.
    • Enter your PIN under Address Verification and submit it.
    • Ensure you verify your address to continue monetization.

Troubleshooting

Common issues during the identity and address verification process can cause delays. Here are some problems you might encounter and their solutions:

1. ID Verification Failure:

  • Issue: Google cannot verify your ID.
  • Solution: If your ID verification fails, you will be invited to resubmit the necessary documents. Note that resubmission can only be done a limited number of times. Make sure that the documents you submit:
    • Use the same full name and ID as your Google Ad Manager account.
    • Are current and not expired.
    • Capture the entire document clearly, ensuring the photo is readable, in focus, and free from reflections and glare.

2. PIN Not Received:

  • Issue: You have not received your PIN for address verification within the expected timeframe.
  • Solution: Google allows you to request a replacement PIN three weeks after the original PIN was issued.
    • Steps to Resend PIN:
      1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
      2. Click on Payments > Verification Check.
      3. Under "Address Verification," click Resend PIN.

3. Address Mismatch:

  • Issue: The address on your ID does not match the address on your Ad Manager payment profile.
  • Solution: The address on your ID does not need to match the address on your Ad Manager payment profile. You can use either the address on your submitted ID or a permanent address you provide to Google Ad Manager. If you need to change your address, Google allows some publishers to do so depending on the country they are located in. For more information, refer to the relevant guide on address changes.
