The verification process is divided into two distinct stages: Identity Verification and Address Verification (PIN).
Google will typically prompt you for identity verification once your earnings reach a certain threshold. It is important to note that Google will not send your address verification PIN until your identity has been successfully verified first. If these steps are not completed within four months of the initial request, Google will stop serving programmatic ads on your site.
Stage 1: Identity Verification
-
Sign in to your Google Ad Manager account.
-
Navigate to Payments > Verification Check.
-
Under the "Identity Verification" section, follow the on-screen prompts to upload your government-issued ID (e.g., Passport, Driver’s License, or National ID).
-
Once submitted, Google will review the documents. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.
Stage 2: Address Verification (PIN)
-
After identity approval, Google will automatically mail a physical Personal Identification Number (PIN) to the payment address listed in your Ad Manager profile.
-
Postal delivery usually takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on your location.
-
Once the mailer arrives, return to Payments > Verification Check in Ad Manager.
-
Enter the 6-digit PIN exactly as it appears in the mailer and click Submit.
